It all started when…

Life was feeling fast. Our children aren't in school yet, our oldest daughter is at the pre-K age, so we decided to go on a 6 month adventure. The goal, well, there are several goals but a main one is to have some real time together as a family before life speeds up even more. The blur of school, classes, practices, games, recitals, etc is coming around the corner and approaching us fast.

Life as a family was already feeling like more a series of event logistics than quality time, forget about adventure. So we took a deep breath, packed up our stuff, and left our home in California. 

We don’t know if it’s going to work. There’s a real possibility that a year from now we may be writing a blog about how naive and foolish we were. We also know that we are incredibly blessed to be able to even attempt something like this. Not everyone has this option and we acknowledge this.

Within this blog we talk about how we did this, what has worked, what hasn’t, and a recap of our adventures.
